How Students Grade Our School

At IECT, we don't do all the grading — we also ask our students to give us a report card! See some of our students' comments below.

What did you like best about the Master Esthetics Program? Yes. Small class size, very affordable, great location for me, personable teachers. The speed of the program and the flexibility of it
Did you feel that the material was presented well? Yes. Thorough, easy to understand. Yes. It was very straight-forward and understandable
Was the online theory audio vocabulary helpful? Yes. Straight-forward, not a lot of filler to crowd my brain. Yes. Very helpful. I appreciated being able to work and still study terms simultaneously.
Were the videos of practical skills helpful to view at home? Yes. Great vids for practicing and referring back to. Yes. It is so much material to take in. Reviewing videos repeatedly was great to become proficient and comfortable.
How do you feel regarding the instructor's guidance with practical skills? I am amazed at how much I have learned! The instructors go way beyond teaching you the basic info. for exams & State Board. A very thorough program! I liked the hands-on and the repetition.
Do you feel the instructor took time to help you with theory lessons? Yes. Excellent, thorough lessons. Yes. I felt very supported and able to ask questions.
Did you like the layout of the online program? Yes. Once I figured out where to look for assignments/tests, it was great. At first, I missed some assignments b/c I didn't look hard enough. It allowed me to learn my own style.
What suggestions do you have to better the program? Accreditation would help so financial aid could be used. Maybe just warn ahead of tests that you grade each fill in the blank because computer is so sensative.
Was the tuition cost affordable for you? Very! You should actually charge more! :) Yes.
Would you recommend the Institute of Epidermal Cell Therapy to others interested in an Esthetics Career? Yes. Affordability is huge, especially for all that a student receives. Yes. Excellent Education and experience, one on one training, very intense, but we learned so much. The environment was very peaceful and positive.
Additional Comments Above all, going through the Master Esthetic program at The Institute of Epidermal Cell Therapy opened my eyes to all the possibilities I have as an Esthetician. Debbie & Saphonia do not offer a "cookie cutter" lesson or approach. Debbie fully prepares you for state board requirements and Saphonia shares her vast knowledge of skincare and ingredient knowledge. A true chemist, Saphonia tailors each product and treatment to each client, which also changes each time they come in, as their skin is always changing and improving. After 13 weeks of an intensive master program, I feel completely ready for state board, excited to use my newfound knowledge with my current clientele, and hopeful for the future, as now I am more prepared and confident than I've ever been. I gained much more than a thorough knowledge of skincare, skin health and master esthetics procedures. I gained confidence from a sense of achievement in so many other areas of my life. As an older student and extremely busy mother of four, it was a big challenge to "shift gears" into something I am so passionate about, but to become a full-time student of it. I got so much encouragement, support and even couseling. The desire of my instructors for me to succeed, not only pushed me through the super hectic times, but made me feel so worthwhile, important and more highly esteemed. These intangeables were a very pleasant surprise and for me, the most important thing I gained from graduating from IECT. I am so grateful to you both, Debbie and Saphonia. Thank you for all of it!
