Philosophy
Our institute is proud to offer Virginia Institute of Esthetics curriculum philosophy as our primary source of training. It was developed and incorporated by L. Saphonia Gee. It’s a distinct blend of Montessori teaching methods combined with adult experiences, focusing on the science of the skin and how it applies to healthy skin care. Our students have the opportunity to experience hands-on esthetics therapy training in our licensed Esthetics Spa, Institute of Epidermal Cell Therapy. This affords our students the opportunity to train in an environment that promotes professionalism, allowing them to build their practical skills as well as build good public relation skills.
Blended Learning Model
Our blended model, which is a combination of online and face to face instruction, allows students flexibility, hands-on experience, and access to our expanding library of online resources. Once students have access to many helpful videos, articles, and government and business references. Our class size is limited to 4-6 students maximum.

Faculty
L. Saphonia Gee
is the active President, and Master Esthetics Instructor of the Institute of Epidermal Cell Therapy. Believing that “Education is key to your journey to healthy skin care” created her love and passion for the field of esthetics. As a leader in the industry, she is responsible for the requirement of licensing in the state of Virginia and Founder of SVSS (The Society of Virginia Skin Care Specialist).
She is a Licensed Master Esthetics and Instructor in Virginia and Washington State. She is also a certified Paramedical and Medical Esthetician, ANHA Holistic Health Care, ANHA Holistic Laboratory, ANHA Holistic Nutrition, Makeup Artist, Product and Ingredient Educator and Consultant for several companies, Business Spa Consultant, Certified Nursing Assistant, and an International CIDESCO Diplomat.
